Terms of sale
Last updated: 19 August 2026
Purpose and seller
These terms of sale apply to original works offered on charlotteghilini.com. The seller is The Bitmap Connection (“the Seller”). Charlotte Ghilini is the name under which the works are presented.
The Seller’s legal form, company number and registered office: to be completed by The Bitmap Connection.
Works
Works for sale are originals (mixed media) described on their page: title, technique, dimensions, year and price. Each page states whether the work is available. Photographs are representations; slight colour differences may appear depending on the screen.
Price
Prices are shown in euros. Unless stated otherwise on the work page, the displayed price is the amount due for the work. Any shipping fees are shown before payment in the Stripe checkout. The Bitmap Connection may change prices; the work is charged at the rate in force when the order is placed.
Order and payment
Orders are placed through Stripe Checkout (card). The contract is formed when payment is confirmed. A confirmation email is sent to the address provided. The Bitmap Connection may cancel an order in case of unavailability, suspected fraud or an obvious pricing error; payment is then refunded.
Delivery
Physical works are shipped to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. Timing and packing details are confirmed after the order. Risk passes to the buyer on handover to the carrier, unless mandatory rules provide otherwise.
Right of withdrawal
For an existing original work sold at a distance to a consumer, a fourteen-day right of withdrawal applies from receipt, under the French Consumer Code. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, except in case of non-conformity or a hidden defect. The work must be returned in its original condition, properly packed.
This right does not apply to works made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised (commissioned work), under article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code.
This paragraph is a draft; The Bitmap Connection will validate it before any sale.
Disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution is sought first via contact@charlotteghilini.com. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
